Michelle is originally from Dallas, Texas, but pursued both her bachelor and masters degrees at Chatham College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 2000 with her BS in Behavioral Neuroscience, and then in 2002 with her Masters in Physical Therapy. She started her career in Dallas after graduation and then moved to Virginia to continue practicing. Since moving to Richmond, she has worked in many settings as a physical therapist, including Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation hospital, Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Bon Secours hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities, allowing her to maintain a varied portfolio of skills and continue to grow as a physical therapist in all areas. In 2014, she returned to Ashland Physical Therapy with Matt Pulisic and has remained in Ashland ever since, working in the outpatient setting to serve patients with orthopedic and neurological injuries in the community. She loves working with patients with orthopedic injuries or post surgery, but has a special affinity for the geriatric population and anyone with neurological conditions, including stroke recovery and vestibular dysfunction. She feels comfortable working with clients of all ages and ailments, and truly loves the community of Ashland, where she has worked for more than two decades.

In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and friends and exploring the area around central Virginia and the mountains. She grew up playing soccer and played through college and beyond, but hung up her cleats to coach her boys through youth. While she does not continue to play or coach now, she is a lover of games and play in general and believes that we need to play more in our lives. She has a loving husband and two wonderful boys that continue to support her in all her adventures!

Matt is a 1987 graduate of Randolph-Macon College with a degree in Biology and in 1990 he graduated from VCU’s School of Physical Therapy at the Medical College of Virginia. In 2002, he received his master’s degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, and in 2010 received his Doctorate degree also from the Medical College of Virginia at VCU.

In 1990, he began his physical therapy career at Tuckahoe Physical Therapy, a private practice in the west end, and from 1993-2000 was the clinic director of Tuckahoe Physical Therapy in Ashland. In October of 2000 he opened Richmond Physical Therapy and then in February of 2005 he returned to Ashland opening Ashland Physical Therapy, both outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy clinics. In May of 2019 Matt sold his Richmond practice to one of his staff physical therapists, and then solely worked full time running the Ashland location. In the summer of 2022, he sold Ashland Physical Therapy to a regional corporate operation, staying on staff until February of 2023. Throughout his career he has worked closely with Randolph-Macon College athletes, and in the spring of 2023 volunteered in the athletic training room at RMC assisting the athletic trainers with rehabilitation of their athletes. In August of 2024 Matt fully came on board with the sports medicine team at RMC as physical therapist working on campus. He achieved Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 1996. He has conducted research publishing two articles: "Risk Factors for Plantar Fasciitis - A Matched Case-Control Study" in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, May 2003 and "Impact of Demographic and Impairment - Related Variables on Disability Associated with Plantar Fasciitis" in Foot and Ankle International, May 2004. In November 2019 he became certified in Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation, and in January 2023 he became certified in dry needling. He is also a member of the Orthopedic Research of Virginia, Graduate Education Medical Committee assisting in overseeing the function of the sports arthroscopy fellowship program.

Matt specializes in rehabilitation of all orthopedic and sports related injuries with a special interest in the upper and lower extremity biomechanics, post-operative rehabilitation, and orthotic fabrication. He has been clinical assistant professor at the VCU School of Physical Therapy and annually supervises VCU physical therapy students in the clinic. He is presently a member of the RMC Board of Associates, where he served a term as chairman and is also a past member of the RMC Board of Trustees. Matt annually provides internship opportunities for RMC students and has seen several of his students move on to become physical therapists. Matt is married to Jennifer, a pediatric physical therapist, and together they have four grown children and one grandson. Besides volunteer time at RMC, he volunteers at St. Ann’s in Ashland, and he has made many trips to Haiti, assisting in developing, organizing, and teaching in a Haitian physical therapy clinic.

Angela Dauch

Originally from Stafford, VA, Angela earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise, Sport and Health Education, with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Radford University. While earning her degree Angela was a Division-1 scholarship athlete and team captain of the field hockey team. Angela received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. Angela has completed research on cervical spine disorders and thoracic outlet syndrome. She became board certified in Orthopedics in 2016. She worked at Ashland Physical therapy from 2009-2015. Prior to returning to Ashland Physical Therapy in 2019, she had been working in Fredericksburg for four years as clinical director and physical therapist. During her career she has served as a clinical instructor for doctorate physical therapy students and treated the spectrum of orthopedic and sports injuries. In her free time Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, running, and reading.

Mike Deal

Mike Deal is originally from Cinnaminson, New Jersey, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College in 2021. During his time at Randolph-Macon, he was a member of the men’s soccer team and served as team captain during his senior year.

Mike went on to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Health Professions, graduating in 2026. While at VCU, he conducted research in the Biomechanics Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Pidcoe. His work focused on the motor impacts of Post-Concussive Syndrome and the application of motor learning strategies for individuals with neurological conditions. Additionally, he provided patient care and served in a leadership role on the board of the CARES Clinic, VCU’s pro bono physical therapy clinic.

In 2025, Mike gained experience working with Major League Soccer’s Nashville SC, where he assisted in delivering evidence-based care to professional athletes. During this time, he developed a rehabilitation protocol for varying grades of Rectus Femoris strains and incorporated data capture technology to objectively guide return-to-sport decisions.

Outside of his professional work, Mike enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, playing soccer, and spending time with family and friends.

Alex Robinson

Alex is a Richmond native and a 2020 graduate of Randolph-Macon College, where he earned a degree in Biology while playing college football. In 2026, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mary Baldwin University.

During his time at Mary Baldwin University, Alex contributed to a publication in the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy Open: “Sticks and Stones: Bias and Readability Assessment in Large Language Model-Generated Patient Education for Anterior Cruiciate Injury”. He also completed an internship at Champion Physical Therapy in Massachusetts, where he gained experience in performance-based rehabilitation while working with athletes.

Although he has an appreciation for working with athletes, having participated in sports throughout his life, he enjoys treating individuals from all backgrounds and activity levels. His passion for physical therapy was inspired by his own experiences recovering from multiple sports-related injuries and the positive impact physical therapy had on his return to activity.

Outside of the clinic, Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and staying active. His favorite hobby is rock climbing, and he can often be found climbing at Triangle Rock Club or the Manchester Climbing Wall. He and his wife also enjoy exploring Richmond, attending local festivals, and traveling to new cities across the country together.

Daniel Eliasek

Phyiscal Therapy Technician

Daniel grew up in Midlothian, VA before coming to Ashland to attend Randolph Macon College. There, he studied Biology and played on the football team. He graduated in 2026 with a BS in Biology and is in pursuit of his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

In his free time Daniel enjoys sharing meals with his family, live music, and staying active by lifting weights, running, and swimming. He is also a lover of all dogs!

April is originally from Providence, Rhode Island and relocated down to Virginia in 2011 with her family. With 10 years experience as a patient care coordinator, she is committed to providing helpful and friendly service. She is confident in her ability to answer any questions, schedule appointments, and help insure a positive visit all around. In her spare time, April enjoys spending time with her three children and granddaughter.

Vickie is a native of the Richmond, Virginia area. She relocated back in 2001 after traveling the world with her military husband and five children. One of her favorite past times is to spoil her grandkids rotten or anything crafty.

Vickie has over 15 years of experience as a patient coordinator; she is proficient with understanding, and explaining insurance benefits. She enjoys chatting and helping patients in the community.
